Day 1: Arrival in Kigali – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After a comfortable welcome, you will embark on a scenic 2.5 to 3-hour drive to Volcanoes National Park in the northern province of Rwanda. Along the way, enjoy picturesque views of Rwanda’s lush hills, terraced farms and local villages.
Upon arrival in the Musanze region near the park, check in to your luxury lodge surrounded by the verdant forest and breathtaking volcano views. Spend your afternoon at leisure. Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Volcanoes National Park

The hike typically takes 5 to 6 hours round-trip and is moderately strenuous, cutting through montane forests, bamboo zones and alpine meadows. Along the way, you may spot golden monkeys, endemic bird species and a variety of high-altitude flora. Your knowledgeable guide will provide insight into the mountain’s ecological and geological significance.
