Detailed Itinerary.

Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a professional representative from Fruits of Hope Adventure Tours will meet you and assist with your domestic flight to Kasese Airstrip, near Queen Elizabeth National Park. Once you land, a luxury safari vehicle will transfer you to your lodge, offering you a glimpse of Uganda’s lush countryside along the way.

Spend the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the views of the savannah, the Rwenzori Mountains or the Kazinga Channel, depending on your lodge’s location. In the evening, indulge in a gourmet dinner followed by sundowners under the African sky.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive – Kazinga Channel Boat Safari

Start your day with an early morning game drive through the Kasenyi Plains, a prime area for spotting lions, buffalo, elephants and Uganda kobs. Your expert guide will help track elusive leopards and interpret the ecosystem’s behavior. This classic safari experience delivers incredible photo opportunities and close encounters with large mammals and various bird species.

Day 3: Ishasha Sector Tree-Climbing Lions – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known as Ishasha. This remote area is famous for its population of tree-climbing lions, often spotted lounging in fig trees, and offers a quieter, more exclusive wildlife experience. Enjoy a game drive through Ishasha’s vast plains, where you might also spot topis, buffalo and herds of elephants.

Continue your journey through the scenic highlands to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. You’ll arrive in time to settle into your luxurious forest lodge, surrounded by misty hills and dense jungle.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

This is the most anticipated day of your safari. After breakfast, you will be driven to the park headquarters for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then embark on your gorilla trekking adventure, hiking through the ancient forest until you locate one of the habituated gorilla families. The trek can last from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location.

Once you find them, spend one awe-inspiring hour in their company, observing their social behaviors, interactions and peaceful presence. It is a profoundly moving and humbling experience, regarded as one of the greatest wildlife encounters on earth.

After your trek, return to the lodge for a well-deserved rest, a massage or a celebratory drink by the fire.

Day 5: Community Visit – Flight Back to Entebbe

Later, you will be transferred to Kihihi or Kisoro Airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe. Upon arrival, check into a luxury hotel near the airport or relax in a VIP airport lounge, depending on your flight schedule.

Day 6: Departure
